🌄 Day 1: Guwahati to Shillong – Gateway to Meghalaya

Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, begin your journey towards Shillong, popularly known as the “Scotland of the East.” En route, stop at the picturesque Umium Lake (Barapani), where you can admire the stunning views and enjoy optional water sports activities. Upon arrival in Shillong, check in to your hotel and relax. In the evening, explore the vibrant Police Bazaar, famous for shopping, local food, and handicrafts. Overnight stay in Shillong.

🌧️ Day 2: Mawsynram & Mawphlang Excursion

After breakfast, embark on an exciting excursion to Mawsynram, known as one of the wettest places on Earth. Explore its fascinating caves and enjoy the breathtaking natural scenery. Continue to the sacred forests of Mawphlang Sacred Grove, a place rich in Khasi traditions and biodiversity. Visit the Khasi Model Village to learn about the local culture and later stop at the beautiful Elephanta Falls before returning to Shillong. Overnight stay in Shillong.

🌿 Day 3: Shillong Sightseeing & Laitlum Canyons

After breakfast, discover the highlights of Shillong city. Visit the renowned Don Bosco Museum (closed on Sundays), followed by a relaxing walk around Ward’s Lake and the Botanical Garden. Explore the colorful Lady Hydari Park before heading to the spectacular Laitlum Canyons, famous for their panoramic valley views and dramatic landscapes. Spend the evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Shillong.

💦 Day 4: Shillong to Jowai – Waterfalls & Heritage

After breakfast, proceed towards Jowai, a hidden gem of Meghalaya. Visit the stunning turquoise waters of Krang Suri Waterfalls and the scenic Tryshi Waterfalls surrounded by lush green paddy fields. Explore Thadlaskein Lake and enjoy a peaceful boating experience. Later, visit the historic Nartiang Monoliths and the centuries-old Durga Temple, showcasing the region’s rich heritage. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.

🚗 Day 7: Cherrapunjee to Guwahati

After breakfast, check out and drive back to Guwahati. En route, visit the beautiful Elephanta Falls once again for a final glimpse of Meghalaya’s natural beauty. Upon arrival in Guwahati, check in to your hotel. In the evening, visit Kalakshetra to experience the rich culture, traditions, and heritage of Assam. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

🛕 Day 8: Guwahati Local Sightseeing

After breakfast, explore the major attractions of Guwahati. Visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple, Tirupati Balaji Temple, and Nabagraha Temple. Continue to the Assam State Museum (closed on Mondays) and the State Zoo cum Botanical Garden (closed on Fridays). Later, visit the Regional Science Centre and Sukreswar Temple. In the evening, you may opt for a relaxing Brahmaputra River Cruise (at additional cost) and enjoy stunning sunset views. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

Booking & Payment Policy

To ensure a smooth booking process, payments must be made according to the following schedule:

Bookings with Flights

At the time of booking (45 days or more before departure): 100% of flight cost plus 10% of hotel, transfer, sightseeing, and activity costs.
45 days before departure: 40% of hotel, transfer, sightseeing, and activity costs.
21 days before departure: Remaining balance payment.

Bookings without Flights

At the time of booking (45 days or more before departure): 25% of hotel, transfer, sightseeing, and activity costs.
45 days before departure: Additional 25% payment.
21 days before departure: Remaining balance payment.

Bookings will be confirmed only upon receipt of the required payment. Failure to make payments within the specified timelines may result in cancellation of the booking and applicable cancellation charges.

Force Majeure

HiTech Holiday Planners shall not be held responsible for any loss, damage, delay, disruption, cancellation, or additional expenses caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

Natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes, cyclones, landslides, or volcanic eruptions.
Political unrest, war, terrorism, civil disturbances, or government restrictions.
Epidemics, pandemics, health emergencies, or quarantine regulations.
Airline strikes, airport closures, airspace restrictions, transportation disruptions, or adverse weather conditions.
Any other unforeseen events affecting travel operations.

In such situations:

Refunds, cancellations, amendments, or rescheduling will be subject to the policies of airlines, hotels, transport providers, and other third-party suppliers.
HiTech Holiday Planners shall not be liable for any losses resulting from such events.
Any additional costs incurred due to alternate arrangements, fare differences, accommodation extensions, transportation changes, or related expenses shall be borne by the traveller.

Price & Availability

All package prices are subject to availability at the time of booking confirmation.
Flight fares, hotel rates, transportation charges, government taxes, fuel surcharges, and supplier costs may change without prior notice.
In the event of a pricing discrepancy or supplier revision, HiTech Holiday Planners reserves the right to revise package prices. Guests will be informed and may choose to proceed with the revised price or cancel the booking before confirmation.
Flight tickets, hotel rooms, transfers, sightseeing tours, and activities are subject to availability at the time of reservation.

Refund Policy

Approved refunds are generally processed within 3–4 working days after receiving confirmation from the respective service providers; however, actual processing may take up to 21 working days depending on airlines, hotels, banks, and payment gateways.
Refunds will be credited to the original mode of payment wherever possible.
If the original payment method is unavailable, refunds may be transferred to a verified bank account, which may require an additional 7–15 working days.
Refunds for cancelled or non-operational paid activities will be processed within 30 days, subject to supplier approval.
No refunds shall be provided for services, sightseeing, transfers, accommodations, meals, or activities that have already been utilized or completed.

Cancellation by Traveller

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by the lead traveller. Cancellation charges will be applicable from the date on which the written cancellation request is received.

Hotels, Activities & Transfers

More than 45 days before departure: 10% of the total package cost will be deducted (excluding non-refundable components).
Between 45 and 21 days before departure: 25% of the total package cost will be deducted (excluding non-refundable components).
Within 21 days of departure: 100% cancellation charges will apply.

Certain promotional offers, peak-season bookings, special fares, and supplier-specific services may be completely non-refundable.

Flight Cancellation Policy

Low-Cost Carriers (LCC)

Airlines such as AirAsia, VietJet, Scoot, Batik Air, and similar low-cost carriers generally operate on non-refundable fares. Once tickets are issued, no refund will be applicable.

Full-Service Carriers (FSC)

Airlines such as Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, Lufthansa, Emirates, Qatar Airways, and similar carriers follow their own cancellation and refund policies. Any applicable refund shall be subject to airline rules, penalties, and processing charges.

Partial Cancellations

If one or more travellers cancel from a confirmed booking, the holiday package cost for the remaining travellers may be recalculated based on revised room occupancy, transportation requirements, and supplier charges. Additional costs may apply.

Changes by HiTech Holiday Planners

HiTech Holiday Planners reserves the right to amend itineraries, substitute services, correct pricing errors, modify travel arrangements, or cancel bookings before or after confirmation due to operational requirements, supplier changes, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond our control.

In the event of a significant change or cancellation, guests will be offered one of the following options:

Accept the revised travel arrangements.
Choose an alternative package or travel arrangement (subject to applicable price differences).
Receive a refund in accordance with supplier policies and applicable booking conditions.

Traveller Responsibility

Travellers are responsible for ensuring that all required travel documents, including passports, visas, permits, identification documents, vaccination certificates, and travel insurance, are valid and available before departure. HiTech Holiday Planners shall not be responsible for denied boarding, visa rejection, immigration refusal, missed departures, or losses resulting from incomplete or invalid documentation.

Acceptance of Terms

By making a booking and/or submitting payment, the traveller confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions, including payment schedules, cancellation policies, supplier regulations, and all applicable travel requirements.
